Karen Carr

Karen is a Senior Consultant with Aligned Leadership Group and President of Key Organizational Strategies. Karen has over 25 years of experience providing strategic change management and organizational development consulting to a wide variety of large-scale, industry-leading companies. Her extensive background in industrial/organizational psychology, combined with the business acumen she’s gained through her work with these complex and renowned organizations, allows her to balance the needs of each business with a deeper understanding of its employees, and to use that knowledge to achieve specific business objectives as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Karen’s most recent consulting work has been with a top global Healthcare company to design and develop an executive leadership role and structure that will promote service line growth and operational excellence within the hospital environment. In addition to this work, Karen has significant experience and expertise in change leadership and management specific to acquisition and integration. With a global high tech client she developed a repeatable and scalable change management strategy and framework that supports multiple types of acquisitions and integrations. The framework includes leadership alignment, customer migration, channel partners migration, go to market, employee on-boarding, processes, facilities and tool migration. This framework continues to be used and has supported the integration of more than $25 billion in deals and has onboarded more than 17,000 employees. Karen is committed to developing innovative, holistic solutions that streamline change and increase performance of people, processes and technology.

Karen has worked across multiple industries and with some of the most highly regarded companies. Karen’s clients have included Hospital Corporation of America, Cisco Systems, PricewaterhouseCoopers, McDonald’s, Motorola, The Coca-Cola Company and Zurich Financial.

Karen is a member of the Association of Psychological Sciences and Society of Industrial Organizational Psychology and is very engaged in integrating the latest advances in neuroscience and neuropsychology with the work of leadership and performance.

When Karen is not working, she enjoys restoring and reimagining furniture, travel, reading and fly fishing. Karen resides in Chicago with her husband and two children.
