Steve Wilson

Steve is a consultant with Aligned Leadership Group and serves as Senior Consultant with HR Drivers Consulting. With over 30 years of experience in talent development, Steve has designed, implemented and led a wide variety of strategic initiatives for companies of all sizes. His work has focused on leading functional teams that focus on identification, development and retention of key organizational talent. His primary strengths include converting learning practices into business results and talented managers into exceptional leaders. 

His most recent consulting experience has been with a major healthcare corporation, helping to design leadership programs for mid to senior level leaders in a healthcare environment.

Some of Steve’s clients have included Advanced Micro Devices, Blue Shield, Cisco Systems, Development Dimensions International (DDI), Del Monte Foods, Healthcare Corporation of America (HCA), HealthNet and Stanford University.

Steve’s corporate experience includes leading the Learning and Development function at AT&T where he was also a certified management assessor, US WEST (now Centurylink) where he designed and led the executive succession and selection process for the top 1500 positions, and NetApp where he built and led two executive leadership initiatives which were featured in the Wall Street Journal and won a Chief Learning Officer Silver Vanguard Award.

Steve has also taught graduate level Organizational Behavior at two universities and has been a speaker at conferences around the country on the subjects of succession planning and executive development. On two occasions, Steve received the Catalyst Award for excellence in leadership diversity programs focused on Women of Color and American Indians.

Steve enjoys cooking, photography and a variety of outdoor activities on the California coast where he resides with his wife.
